"It  is what it’s not" is Yao’s first solo exhibition in Belgrade - a series  of work primarily produced within the past month and half, right after  he began renting a shared studio space 3 minutes away from his  apartment, even after his apartment’s rent went up.

Yao  Wang(1995) is a conceptual artist currently based in Belgrad, primarily  working in sculpture, installation, and still & moving image. He explores themes such as identity, culture, society and one’s role within it.
