Marijana Janković
Marijana Janković was born in Valjevo in 1997. Graduated in German language and literature at the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade. She has always been involved in photography, and in recent years she has also found her expression in other media, such as textiles. The series of exhibited works was created during 2021. He currently lives and works in Belgrade.
In her works, Marijana Janković depicts actors in everyday, seemingly bizarre situations through a very likeable and playful visual language. With the vibrancy of colors and playing with perspective, he produces a specific synthesis of pop culture, animation, photography, film and comics, using the so-called punch needle tufting technique, which is a type of embroidery on canvas.
